The billions to DHS have built the for-profit panopticon surveillance state they were unable to fully push through after 9/11 because people fought back.

It took 25 years but they have it now.

This cannot be reformed. www.nytimes.com/2026/01/30/t...

A thing that gets lost if you didn’t have to deal directly with these shits is what absolute losers they are.

Joey Gibson is a loser.

A bit of a dangerous loser because he’s not smart enough to realize who he’s surrounding himself with, (he gave us Jeremy Christian) but a dork-ass loser.
Lovely to see the Oregon Republican Party promoting the work of Joey Gibson (who led a group that wore t-shirts saying “Pinochet did nothing wrong” and “RWDS” Right Wing Death Squad) and a guy named Schultz who regularly recorded himself making death threats towards his fellow Oregonians.

It doesn’t matter that Don Lemon hired a superstar attorney or that the case against him is meritless.

There are too many journalists with far less money and far fewer resources than Lemon who will be more cautious going forward. That was the intent, and that’s the main problem.

New for @teenvogue.com (!)

The young immigrant women workers of Lawrence won the 1912 Bread and Roses strike because of solidarity—which is also exactly how the people of Minnesota built the durable and inspiring resistance network we all saw on January 23, 2026.

There have been multiple, fantastic essays about how the aesthetics of AI are the aesthetics of fascism.

There is never a reason to use it.
Using gen. A.I. to make slop imagery to go with any anti-fascist statement isn't any sort of flex as it was developed and promoted by the billionaires pushing fascism.
Just fucking stop using it.

Bill Cosby.

I listened to my Dad’s comedy records over & over as a kid, especially “Why Is Their Air?” “I Started Out as a Child” & a cassette of “Himself.”

I am so different from my Dad, but we shared these jokes and stories. This was something we both loved and could bond over.

Fuck Bill Cosby.
Question for the Skyline: What was your HARDEST "cancel"?? Like the actor/singer/athlete that was the hardest to drop.

I feel like it's always people I don't fw getting canceled so it's never really a loss.

The hardest one was maybe TI because I actually liked multiple albums by him.

social media has made it okay for people to share inside thoughts outside.

but organizing is different. you have to think differently. somethings you want to say but cannot. and you must realize and accept that silence is your friend sometimes to do it effectively
Use separate cars for rapid response and mutual aid. That one really is important
