i think tech and ai positive people are going to be in for a big shock when anti tech and anti ai sentiment becomes a major part of leftwing politics going forward especially as datacenters continue to destroy communities and raise electricity bills
Is this platform still massively against AI or has it moved more towards acceptance?

I hate that like the internet has nuked people's brains, I saw someone bitching about "why is the President ALWAYS! like 90!"

Obama was in his 40s, so was Bill Clinton, W was 54, just in the last 10 years have Presidents been old (and people could have voted for the 59 year old)

the thing most frustrating to me abt liberal (& even some leftist) politics are how small the asks are/how they are the same asks people had in the 1860s!

- 40 hour work week
- less racial discrimination
- less sexism
- prison reform

reformist arguments got 165 years to produce dividends. and yet.

It’s sad that “soldiers shouldn’t commit crimes” is a brave position for a Republican to take.

Several new 'liberal' publications have launched in recent years, sometimes raising millions before writing a word, sometimes getting glossy profiles, then often devolving into weakness.

None of that's true about us. Maybe we should go raise at least a half million: www.gofundme.com/f/the-libera...

No bailouts. The US should extort these companies when the crash happens so they get minimal compensation in return for nationalizing the entire panopticon industry and then destroying it once harvested for socially useful parts. It won’t happen but it should
