I had to investigate this, because that's my curse.
Although set in Croydon, the real houses were in Cheam.
The house from the first episode was 4 The Avenue. The house they move into in episode 2 was 8 Shirley Avenue, the next street over.

Terry had just been promoted to Assistant Sales Manager at Playsafe Fire Extinguishers and Appliances, which allowed for the move. He was presumably a senior salesperson previously which financed the first house.

It was heartwarming to see Help My House is Haunted. At one point, Paul Chuckle said "to you, Barry?" and got nothing, so said "to me, Barry?" and still got nothing. Then they turned up the sound on the recording and there was a faint little Chuckle voice replying from the ether: "TO YOU, PAUL."
