“I don't see any plan, any strategy, any end game,” says Pat Parenteau, a professor of environmental law at the University of Vermont. “I don't see anything from this administration, just fuck everything up as much as you can. You can print that.”

Sounds accurate to me.
The Fight Over US Climate Rules Is Just Beginning
As the EPA moves to roll back the endangerment finding, which allows it to regulate greenhouse gases, experts predict uncertainty for business and a protracted legal fight.

One of every thousand American residents has been taken into custody by ICE in the last year.
A stunning detail the ICE chief shared in this hearing that was supposed to be a brag, except it isn't: ICE has arrested 379,000 people between Jan. 2025-Jan. 2026 -- but only 8,700 were suspected gang members or known suspected terrorists.

That's 2%! www.huffpost.com/entry/latest...

As the data piles up showing the direct post-viral effect on developing MS, Alzheimer’s, cancer, and so much more, mRNA is an absolute scientific leap forward. And instead we are trashing public health for generations. Flu kills and disables. Covid kills and disables. There is no floor to this evil

We won't let this go. The UK cracked down on access to gender affirming care and trans youth suicides then the government covered it up. This also came amidst a massive push for anti trans policies more broadly among British political parties.

Trans Youth Suicides Skyrocketed In UK After Care Drawdown; Government Covers It Up
A Freedom of Information request to the National Child Mortality Database reveals that 22 trans children under 18 died by suicide in England in 2021-22 alone.

What we definitely need is more unsafe water, more polluted air, more food and medical supply risk, more death, and more concentrated wealth. THAT’S what their capital-class deregulation is: an abundance of human-scale suffering while also regulating our existence/performance of humanity
The conservative former Dem member of congress who led the Dem's House election effort in 2020 when we lost 13 seats has some new funder-friendly ideas about how to win.
Ezra Klein's Abundance movement is getting some backup: A new political group is urging Democrats to embrace "pro-growth," deregulatory policies with an eye toward 2028, according to plans first shared with Axios.

My literal job is to document environmental regulatory and policy trends/requirements. The last year has been endless planetary grief. But I have hope. States were slapped HARD last year. They’re regrouping now. There are existential risks from federal overreach & lawsuits but states have power too.
somebody should inform the Politico/CNN/Axios/NYT brunchlord media establishment that corruption has hollowed out public safety, labor rights, and consumer protection, opening the door to decades of mass suffering and death

I feel like that might be an interesting story
Under Trump, EPA’s enforcement of environmental laws collapses, report finds
The Environmental Protection Agency has drastically pulled back on holding polluters accountable.

Can comfirm from MN, as can anyone who lives here, that not a THING has changed except little Bovino isnt peacocking around the streets anymore. And there hasn’t been a third high-profile murder of a white person yet.

But the gestapo attacks haven’t stopped. At all! bsky.app/profile/jyse...
ICE hasn't stopped brutalizing people or shredding the Constitution, it's just that corporate media turned the camera as the call for action got too loud and the Democrats stepped in and made sure the issue got changed.

If you sit for a second, you'll recognize that's what happened with BLM, too.

Trump’s efforts to interfere in midterms becoming clearer & more dangerous every day:

-using ICE to terrorize blue states & cities

-seizing ballots in heavily Dem counties

-prosecuting 2020 enemies

-extorting states for sensitive voter data

Think about it like this. This ICE agent was on camera and unmasked — fulfilling one of three "demands" Democratic leader Chuck Schumer just issued in order to agree to save Republicans and give DHS even more money.

And he was still threatening to kill someone.
"You raise your voice, I erase your voice."

ICE in Minneapolis are erasing your rights.

approaching the problem of "roving death squads" from an incrementalist point of view is just a slow form of suicide
SCHUMER says Democrats are “united” behind three DHS reforms

1/ End roving patrols; tighten the rules on warrants and require ICE to coordinate with local authorities.

2/ Enforce accountability; a uniform code of conduct.

3/ Require masks off, body cameras on, agents carry ID.

The biggest risk in this moment is something sociologists call “symbolic compliance.”

That’s when an institution that is violating civil rights gives the public just enough symbolic victories that accountability efforts lose steam before there has been any meaningful change.

Exactly right.

Bovino's leaving? Great, get Noem to resign.

Noem resigns? Great, defund and dismantle ICE.

Go after Stephen Miller too. Bring charges against ICE thugs at the state and local level. Lawsuits. New state laws restricting them.

Every possible angle.
They are wounded and flailing. Press the advantage.

In 1935, all German Jews were fully stripped of their German citizenship.
