I get the Democratic fear on this, it does seem like "defund the police" all over again. Cops were publicly doing terrible shit everywhere and Dems were hurt by a slogan they weren't even using. I think the phrasing is toxic, but Dems have a messaging opportunity.
ICE may be shooting people in the face, sending people to concentration camps, and illegally occupying our cities but, apparently, the Democrats think saying, "abolish ICE" is "emotional" and politically "lethal."

This is what happens when your only goal is deporting as many people as possible, as quickly as possible - you get underqualified, undertrained people.

My problem with this is that the protests in my area (with a lot of colleges and families) continue to be mostly people over 60. There needs to be a tipping point where the frustrated young people start showing up and taking ownership of their future.
I see this take around from time to time and totally disagree. ICE just murdered a woman standing up to them. No Kings is among the largest protests in history.

I have been saying the same thing. Boomers are rapidly destroying what took their parents generations to build.
I don't think it's a coincidence that all of this (worldwide) is happening when most of the people who lived through WWII have just died. We need to do a better job of keeping their memories and ideals alive.

This is what I have been saying for months. There's no point in trying to legislate and hammer out bipartisan negotiations when the country is lawless. Every Democrat should be calling out illegal and unconstitutional acts every day, but they are really bad at this.
Here’s some things that can be done by a party out of power
- file impeachment articles every day in the House
- withhold unanimous consent in the senate and filibuster every nominee
- be everywhere with comms saying this is lawless and impeachable

A witness shared this video with me showing an ICE officer shooting a driver in an SUV in south Minneapolis. DHS says the woman is dead.

There is, IMHO, probable cause to arrest the officer for attempted homicide or homicide for the shots after the first. And, unless other facts are discovered, there is enough to prove the defendant guilty. 9/
