Social Justice Warrior? Heck no! I'm a Social Justice Priest!
Black, Leftist, UU, He/Him. My Blackness informs my leftism & my leftism informs my religious beliefs.
When I'm wrong, I admit it.
Not a real priest, but I have given a few sermons.

Dems are like well we may have lost the battle but at least we lost the war
UPDATE: The Senate votes 53-47 to shoot down the Baldwin amendment to extend ACA funds for 1 year. A party-line vote with every Republican rejecting it.
An important vote in this series: Tammy Baldwin’s proposal to extend ACA expiring funds for 1 year. It’s structured as a motion to table (i.e. scrap it from the amendment tree). But it’ll show the appetite (or lack thereof) in the Senate to address this issue.

the Rosetta Stone of dem politics is the 2006 senate primary which incumbent Joe Lieberman lost in part for making out with George Bush
He ran anyway, won with GOP support, dems let him keep his seniority, chairmanships and perks & he rewarded them by obstructing the ACA & killing the public option

An important question you cannot skip over in pursuit of the Primary Them All solution is: how likely is it that defeating entitled narcissists in a primary will actually stop them from running?

Adding to this, we've seen what happens when libertarians try to form their own communities. "A Libertarian Walks into a Bear" tells one story. Also look up Galt's Gulch, Chile.
Spoiler: both of these end badly.

they understand insurance. the entire premise of libertarian opposition to mandatory insurance is that they should not have to care about anyone else and be permitted to take risks. it's the same opposition to vaccination and taxation.

Amazing moment in time right now where people who yelled at us for sticking to genocide as a red line are now also disgusted with Democrats and threatening not to vote for them. So your health insurance becoming more expensive was your red line?

The Democratic Party is historically unpopular with its own voters.
Caving to Trump and getting nothing in return will only bring these numbers down further.
It’s a historic failure—and an opportunity to push for changes to the electoral system.

How about we shut down the government for this very popular and specific goal and then, hear me out, we hold out for like a month and a half and then, ok this part is important, after a watershed election where we ran the table, ONLY THEN, fold and don't get the one thing we said we wanted.
