It's official - my scan was clear!

I am cancer-free!
I'm rewatching Doctor Who and I remain convinced that Midnight is THE most terrifying episode.

It's not just the unseen monster, a living creature where no life can be sustained… it's the people, the yelling, the fear, and the mob mentality.

In this political climate it feels even more terrifying.

Me, meanwhile: HEY DON'T BE A FUCKNUT.

Low danger sense.
In a world where cruelty is standardized by a third of the country, please step up for retail workers and food service folks. If you aren't comfortable saying HEY THAT'S NOT COOL to someone who's rude, you can talk to that worker's boss to tell them how great the worker did in the face of rudeness.

It's kind of spectacular to come up with a prosecution that's way more likely to put you in jail than the person you're prosecuting.

Woe is me.

I tend to stumble/lurch through doors - it's not uncommon for me to bounce off a door frame on my way through.

I'm not wearing a bra.

I stumbled through the bathroom just now and received an electric shock to my nipple.

OUCH.

Understanding the difference between "religious people" and White Evangelical Nationalism is knowing:

They didn't want more religious freedom or a more religious country; they wanted their own personal pliable, obedient cult followers.

I’ve purchased many beautiful pieces from Hillary and other The Peculiarity Shop artists, and they’re wonderful!

This is one of my saddest but truest cartoons.
And in a moment where the world feels painfully divided, some still say calling out division creates more of it.
But silence never helped the people already hurting.
Let’s be brave enough to see it, name it, speak it, and work to heal it.

Thing that rattles around in my head:

Fifteen or so years go I attended a book event for two ghost hunters. One of them just casually said, "As we all know, ghosts can't move anything heavier than a five-pound bag of flour."

I think about this ALL. THE. TIME.

Once again reminding you that the reason GenX sucks is bc they purposefully killed off our coolest with the "war on drugs" and Reagan's AIDS "response"

You're not getting our best- they're dead.

A few weeks ago I was talking politics with a local, highly straight, bartender.

All the sudden he said: “Well, I think a big part of the problem is that so many of the people who would’ve been our progressive leaders died of AIDS & can’t help us now.”

And I’ve thought about that every day since.

The reason why most women my age couldn't care less if Bill Clinton goes down with the ship is that we were teens & young women when the Anita Hill and Monica Lewinsky scandals happened. It's rotten to the core. All the way down. Your "lost" era is not ours.
Seriously, what is wrong with these people?

The worst part is that these symptoms are so easy to ignore or attribute to other causes.

I’d been generally miserable for about a year but there were so many *reasons* I felt miserable! I was lucky that my tumor started shoving things around and causing significant pain while it was still stage 1.
I’m gonna keep sharing these ovarian cancer symptoms whenever I see them.

I will add - from personal experience - diarrhoea and fatigue.

Get it checked! Remember, there’s no routine screening for ovarian cancer.

Amazing, no notes, I do not desire to learn anything else about this story, for it would only detract from the perfection on this headline.

No one should have to face such threats.

It would’ve been nice if Greene had realized this before she amplified and endorsed calls for executing Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama.

It’s useful for people of my generation to be reminded that this wasn’t that long ago. Ruby Bridges isn’t just still alive—she’s only 71, not ancient!
65 years ago on Nov. 14, little Ruby Bridges was escorted into an all-white elementary school in New Orleans. Norman Rockwell, renowned for blissful depictions of Americana, did this remarkable painting for Look magazine. Printed as a double page, over-size spread, it's his masterpiece.
