so I'm going to give obscene amounts of wealth to my children

maybe they will suck much less!

Its a moral boycott. And solidarity with people that have been harmed or disappeared by that regime.

Also I don't want to end up in a gulag in El Salavdor 🤷‍♂️

She says she is doing it for the women of Mexico.

I feel that she does this in service to end assaults against women everywhere. She is heroic, like so many survivors I have been privileged to know.
‼️ Mexico's first woman president, Claudia Sheinbaum, just announced she's pressing charges after being groped in the street:

“If they do this to the president, what happens to all the women in our country?”

Ideological consistency is lovely but it's not intrinsically *useful* lol

Sorry just saw a post about how people of a particular ideology are "at least consistent" and even if true (I'm skeptical!) that isn't actually very important I don't think lol

Just now: The plaintiffs who were arguing that Utah GOP's congressional map is illegal won in court.

The judge orders one of the two maps submitted by the plaintiffs ('map 1') be used.

The ruling, if it stands, guarantees that Democrats will pick up a congressional seat in Utah next year.
