Imagine being so loathed that an entire stadium of people boos and flips you off. Which dope henchmen thought this one would go well?

Blech.

Ortiz is a scrub. No big loss.

Clase is 3x All-star, arguably the best closer in the game. The Gs were about to trade him, since they're loaded in the pen. He would've brought a lot in return. Opportunity gone.

27 years old and soon to be banned for life. WTF? What a dick.

Much is made of Karloff only playing the Frankenstein monster 3 times, but Bela Legosi only played Dracula TWICE, in the original 1931 masterpiece, and in 1948, 17 years later, in Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein.

It was Legosi's final hit film.

I fear, as I'm sure many of you do, that we've just had our last free election.

The one thing that can save us is that these fascist ghouls are breathtaking in their incompetence. Ruthless, yes. Greedy & power mad, morally bankrupt, definitely. But it's an unprecedented hive of dumbasses.

it is darkly humorous that after all these years, the Republican health insurance plan ends up being to end health insurance
Trump: "I am recommending to Senate Republicans that the Hundreds of Billions of Dollars currently being sent to money sucking Insurance Companies in order to save the bad Healthcare provided by ObamaCare, BE SENT DIRECTLY TO THE PEOPLE SO THAT THEY CAN PURCHASE THEIR OWN, MUCH BETTER, HEALTHCARE."

Socialism is what they called public power.

Socialism is what they called social security.

Socialism is what they called the growth of free and independent labor organizations.

Socialism is their name for almost anything that helps all the people.

The famous Basket Building here in Ohio. HQ of the Longaberger Basket Company until it went belly up 10 years ago.

Baskets were huge, especially in the 1960s & 70s. My mother had tons of them. Longaberger sold $1B of them a year at its peak. In the 00s, the bottom dropped out of the biz.

Siegel & Shuster moved their studio to Cleveland once the comic strip launched. Their shitty DC contract made them pay all production costs: materials, rent, salaries of assistants. So they moved back to cheaper Cleveland. DC owners were not pleased.
The first Superman Sunday newspaper strip was published on November 5, 1939.
