"Cis women having male levels of testosterone" is another big giveaway about what this is. What is a "male" level of testosterone and how can a cis female have it naturally occurring in their cis female body if its specific to men? Is there a male level of height?
Its telling where the IOC will let claims of scientific rationality be applied as a cover for their bigotry and where it wont. I'm assuming they wont be barring athletes for having the advantage of being too tall or too much lung capacity?

The reason Mike Johnson is so good at ignoring the terrible things happening in front of him (sex abuse, ICE raids, etc.) is because he's a Southern Baptist, and Southern Baptists are very good at ignoring horrific things. It's the natural progression of a group founded by enslavers
Read the history of the Southern Baptist Convention's cover-up of its massive sex abuse scandal for the playbook for Johnson.

THIS. Not just including but honoring queerness in our churches. And feeling very loved to hear the aromanticism and asexuality inclusion in that! That's not something that gets said in these spaces, and Billie and Tamice do it so well, on this and every topic they cover.

It’s a scam and a pretty common one.

Churches get multiple calls like this a week. The person answering the phone is doesn’t have access to funds to give. They aren’t charge of the food shelf. They aren’t the pastor. They might not even be a member of the church.

truly wild how heads of state will start wars, displace people & will then complain about immigrants — going so far as to rile their followers up to hate crime the very refugees their wars created.

Does it have Max Lucado books and a Thomas Kincade painting? Of course. Does it also have Bird by Bird and A Year of Biblical Womanhood? You bet your UWiF it does.
gotta respect the old mainline church library. A lost art. A hidden gem. Hasn’t been used in 40 years. “More than a carpenter” right next to Johnson’s “she who is”

Right, the answer isn't to abandon the party to these weasels.

The answer is to flood the party with people who will take it over and transform it.
Hey, a lot of people are talking about changing affiliation from Democratic to Independent.

Let me tell you why you shouldn’t do that in Colorado.

One of the main ways to get a primary challenge candidate on a ballot is to caucus for your party. You need to be registered as a Dem to caucus.

This is what SCIENCE does: collects higher-quality (e.g., nuanced) data and updates to reflect that!
2/ Starting HRT earlier, using low-dose or localized estrogen, and tailoring therapy to each woman can be effective and safe. The update is long overdue: women deserve evidence-based care, informed clinicians, and choices rooted in science & compassion.

Today, the Supreme Court did the right thing by denying review of a petition that sought to challenge the freedom to marry for same-sex couples.

That’s because marriage equality has helped millions of Americans take care of each other, build stability, + plan for the future.

If you are unhappy with the state of electoral politics / political parties you too can Be The Change
In my old town the GOP had run basically without serious challenge for decades. A bunch of us "millennials" joined the local Dem party and basically asked to help.

We were running it in a year. Within 4 years we had a majority of town seats flipped Dem. A FAR more progressive Dem than old party
“Rather than taking over the Democratic Party the same way the right took over the Republican Party, we should take the easier route and just start up a new party ourselves!”

I’m about to fill my pockets with stones and walk into the sea.

Did you know that in Canada, if a budget doesn’t pass the government doesn’t shut down?

Federal workers aren’t furloughed.

Funding for social services doesn’t dry up.

Failure to pass a budget triggers an election.

It puts the politicians jobs on the line.

They get the budget passed.

When people don’t have insurance they neglect their health until it’s an emergency. When people don’t have money to pay for emergencies hospitals care for them anyway… until of course the hospitals go bankrupt and have to close, then there just isn’t critical healthcare at all.
