New — I wrote about ChongLy Scott Thao, the elderly Hmong American wrongly arrested and forced out of his home by ICE in his underwear during the punishing Minnesota winter, what witnesses saw, and DHS's racist claim that he fit the description of another Asian man they were looking for.

If the Sharks want to say "screw it, this is a fun year, let's reward the guys", that's fine, but you gotta be moving literal no value assets or take $$$ no one wants. Giving up 2 2nds is a bad choice. That's significant ammo that could be used to help land a serious asset.

Kiefer Sherwood is a nice power forward who thrives as a disruptor off-puck and goal scorer with it. He's excellent at recovering pucks on the forecheck, helping his D on counter-attacks, can play the PK, and provides individual shot creation & finishing for some good scoring depth.

Honestly boycotting the World Cup would be the most effective and probably the least disruptive of all of the options available to Europe. I’m not sure how you can send teams and fans to contribute to a spectacle designed entirely to celebrate a guy trying to invade your territory.

I’ve seen a lot going around about these cells reserved for US citizens, and it’s worth reminding people that ICE officers (and immigration officers in general) do in fact have legal authority to arrest US citizens for any felonies or “offenses against the United States” witnessed by an officer.
Missed this a few days ago:
Two U.S. citizens grabbed by ICE say there were cells reserved for Americans.
Also, they weren’t given medical attention or allowed to go to the bathroom.

I've heard rumors that Philadelphia is next for the ICE invasion after Minneapolis.
Maybe I'm wrong, but
1) More than 11% of all ICE agents are in Minneapolis, and they've utterly failed to pacify the city.
2) Philly is 5x the size of Minneapolis.
3) "Minnesota nice" is a thing. We don't have that.
