I learned recently that we can make data centers using old shipping containers that are housed offshore in the ocean, and that they're inherently easier to cool being underwater and thus release less heat than land-based DCs. They're also inherently more secure (because underwater).

It's my contention that speed skating needs a "medium track" format where they do the short track strategy on a slightly longer track so they can put 10 or 12 people in each race at a time. Imagine the fun chaos that would bring.

When I got the contract to write a history of concentration camps in 2014, I hoped to keep the US from ending up here. That didn't work out! But now it's critical to understand how much is already in process and the enormity of what's coming. The sooner we act to stop it, the more people we'll save.
