A federal judge overturned an Interior Department order halting construction of a $6.2 billion offshore wind project serving New England on Monday, dealing a setback to King Trump’s attempts to shut down coastal wind projects.
Judge reverses Trump order halting Revolution Wind
Suspending the lease for the Orsted project off Connecticut and Rhode Island was "unreasonable," the federal judge ruled Monday.

Patty, a woman observer in Minneapolis, was abducted from a car by federal agents today. She was released and talked about her experience in custody.

An agent said, "You guys gotta stop obstructing us. That's why that lesbian bitch is dead."

Second, and probably most importantly, it's tactically wrong. "No point discussing political opposition to fascism, there won't be elections anyway" cedes victory to your enemies. It's defeatism and nihilism.

Usually police shootings of a driver in a vehicle are not so well documented. It's the officer's word, supported by the blue wall of police, against the dead driver. Which explains why the ICE agent thought he could get away with murder here—and he might.

Video: Videos Contradict Trump Administration Account of ICE Shooting in Minneapolis
An analysis of footage from three camera angles show that the vehicle appears to be turning away from a federal officer as he opened fire.

There's a real danger in Democrats responding to the fraud in Minnesota with anything other than, "that's terrible, we'll do everything we can to make sure it doesn't happen again."
Anything like, "oh yeah? What about corruption?" etc just won't work. We must take responsibility to be trusted.

"When asked whether some of the show’s success had to do with setting it in Pittsburgh, as opposed to, say, a more obvious metropolis like Philadelphia, Wyle said, 'I think this is the perfect place to tell this story from.' He added, joking: 'Screw Philly.'”

This video is absolutely horrific. ICE shot and killed a woman in her car as she was attempting to drive away.

The violence and aggression must stop. Get ICE out of our cities.

It occurred to me that "Cabin in the Woods" is the second film where Sigourney Weaver is in a position of authority and people don't listen to her, leading to disaster.

When Trump started pushing the birther lie he had nothing—no facts, just a loud voice—but by doing so over and over he gained power. If Democrats were to start pushing impeachment they would have tons of facts and they would gain power by making the argument forcefully and repeatedly. Why not?

It seems to me that AI slop makes talk o originality—literature, art—much more valuable. Because now anybody can make average art with very little effort. But something really original is very hard to come by. AI can't create it.

The Democrats in Congress saying over and over, "all we can do is complain, we're not in the majority" may be true but it doesn't play well against Trump just doing stuff without worrying about whether it's allowed or not.

In a way, isn't it refreshing for a President to just tell us why he's invading a country, and to have it make sense? We never really figured out why we invaded Iraq, for example. Weapons of mass destruction? Oil? Grudge over Kuwait? Cheney?
