any official who claims to "know" about "trafficking" is making stuff up: "In the latest report, BJS admits that it has essentially no idea about the overall prevalence of human trafficking here."
Despite what Trump says, human trafficking is mostly a homegrown offense. 96% of ppl charged were for US citizens. Just 2% were undocumented immigrants reason.com/2026/02/19/9...
96 percent of people charged with human trafficking are U.S. citizens
Just 26 undocumented immigrants faced federal trafficking charges in 2023.

Off with his head! (like Charles I)

Or at least his dick.
Never in a million years did I ever fathom when I resurrected the Epstein story in 2018 that it would lead to first arrest of a British Royal in four centuries. Not since King Charles I was arrested in 1647.

In the concentration camp universe, this is what's known as a filtration camp. A government preemptively takes a whole class of people to interrogate and detain extrajudicially in order to inflict duress on them while arbitrarily assessing their (supposed) culpability.
This is a truly horrifying memo. It says that the policy of the US government will now be to proactively seek out and arrest likely tens of thousands of refugees who entered legally under Biden and subject them to detention, where they will be interrogated about their status.

One would think NYT would act better after the role they played in helping another Republican administration to lead the US into a devastating war in the Middle East (based on lies) costing American taxpayers trillions, thousands of America lives and tens of thousands of injuries.
In this entire piece there is not a hint of even a semblance of a legal argument for how a war of this scale would be legal or authorized.

There is quite simply no legal or constitutional authority for Trump to launch a war of choice against Iran.

None. Zero. Nothing.

The president has almost always done what Iran hawks want, and so it is likely just a matter of time before he orders another illegal attack on that country.

It needs to be said clearly that it would be absolutely insane for the United States to start a war of aggression against Iran. If anyone thinks that Trump gives a rip about democracy or human rights you are kidding yourself. It’ll be another campaign of domination and plunder.

There’s a lot to investigate and report on from today’s stunning deposition of Les Wexner. But here’s something I can’t get over.

I asked Mr. Wexner if the DOJ or FBI ever contacted him to ask him about Epstein and his crimes. He said NO. That’s outrageous and unforgivable.

A military attack on another country is called a war; saying it's just a military 'confrontation' or a 'calibrated strike' diminishes the severity of the act, regardless of whether it leads to region-wide conflict.

Something to keep in mind in the non-debates on Iran.

one reset I'd personally appreciate: behind the insistence that we must offer the electorate a little bigotry is the idea that commoners are more bigoted than the richer and more educated, who can be appealed to with high minded policy. but then you Ctrl+F "phrenology" in the Epstein files
What strikes me is that 'the volk' have incredibly incoherent and everywhere ideas, but the people who claim to speak for them in the press are like clerics who think there are two poles for all politics and everything must fit between them. These poles are like, eight inches apart
