Just because one party is made up of fascists does not absolve us of the responsibility to hold the other party accountable for its inaction, neglect, dismissiveness, or lack of courage and strategy. That means holding Democrats accountable.
Last week I unsubscribed from SiriusXM, somewhat sadly because I used it on car trips and at other times to listen to news and radio programs, even some by my friends. But I could no longer take the constant running of right wing “patriot“

Not spending my money supporting any of this bullshit.

It's Black History Month. Black leaders historically have put themselves on the line for rights and democracy, and taught us how to do it.

All the organizing now going on is rooted in historical Black and indigenous leadership. Recognize the shoulders on which you stand.

One thing that Trump and Epstein shared: a complete obsession with 1930s ideas about eugenics, and how powerful, wealthy white men could father a new master race once provided a carefully curated set of concubines (think Lebensborn). www.motherjones.com/politics/202...
Epstein couldn't stop emailing people about eugenics
In the latest files, the trafficker gives it a Silicon Valley–pilled name: "genetic altruism."

Two trends I notice here that tell me a lot about our own moral inconsistencies and our unwillingness to challenge ourselves.

If you talk about the genocide in Gaza, which is supported by major Jewish institutions, you will get several blocks pronto.

If you talk about Dem complicity? Same.

Do not buy these glasses and DO NOT give them to your kids. We shape the world we want in part by how we use our economic power. I don’t know why you would give these out-of-control fascist zealot tech bros more of your money or your privacy.
Zuck wants to put AI-powered facial recognition into his stalkerware and turn Meta glasses into a warrantless surveillance network at the same time. This will empower the creepiest dudes in the world and make everyone who wears them an accomplice for ICE. Absolutely the fuck not, Mark. cc @eff.org

Note: I should have added "at worst" to the line about the fishermen. We don't know how many were actually even doing that.

Also, as with the brazen, wildly exaggerated lying, the hypocrisy is itself a projection of power. They want you to see that there's no pretense of justice or fairness.
I'm all for pardons and second chances. But it's a hell of a juxtaposition to pardon millionaire NFL players convicted of drug distribution while you're summarily executing impoverished fishermen making a few hundred bucks to shuttle drugs around the Caribbean.
President Trump pardons Hall of Famer Joe Klecko and four other former NFL players
Trump pardoned Klecko, Nate Newton, Jamal Lewis, Travis Henry and the late Billy Cannon for crimes ranging from perjury to drug trafficking.

We have known for many years conditions in these facilities are very bad. We just don't look very hard.

But it's beside the point: Even in good conditions, it's critical to realize holding people W/O due process for no reason is STILL A HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATION.

Part of the problem we have in this country is binary thinking: "GOP bad. Dems good." And that is ONLY TRUE insofar as we elect principled, incorruptible Dems, and STILL HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE.

These are crimes against humanity.
In terms of what cures are being lost:

- Epstein-Barr virus is perhaps the major trigger for multiple sclerosis
- herpes simplex virus causes cold sores, genital herpes, infections in babies, deadly meningitis
