You should be embarrassed to be a member of congress and issuing anything other than impeachment resolutions. You're in the model UN. They should give you legos and a propeller hat

It is very important that your federal electeds hear not only from you on social media, but through direct contact as well. Tag them and then

Call and email. Do both. Tell them to move to immediately impeach and remove for an unconstitutional war of aggression.

Polymarket must be destroyed.
This person went on a buying spree over the past 24 hours. Fresh wallet. Only existed since Dec 27th and has only bet on Venezuela-related markets.

I've said this before in the context of Grok's Ani, but anyone who-for wont of a better term-becomes intimate with the bot is basically handing Elon blackmail material on a silver platter.
I think about this one a lot

It feels like certain types of guys are unable to take in information in solitude. It has to be a conversation, explanations tailored to their thought patterns, with someone they perceive as servile to them. They can’t read an email: someone has to tell them what it says, even if it’s incorrect.

POSIWID: the purpose of a system is what it does. Intentions are irrelevant. At scale, AI creates dependence, intensifies surveillance, deskills workers and students, extracts value, and concentrates power. It consumes vast electricity and water. It exploits laborers in data processing. Net negative

The ideological split is clear: some view AI as neutral capability that could serve different purposes. I see technology deployed within power relations that shape its actual uses. Drumpf just signed an executive order shielding AI companies from regulatory compliance. That's not an accident.

Optimists may point to historical transitions. Cameras didn't destroy painting! Photoshop didn't eliminate illustration! But AI deploys faster, and targets generally the knowledge worker rather than specific efficiency traps, and arrives during economic stagnation and weakened worker protections.

Which in turn creates deskilling at scale. For example, when documentation gets automated, the skill of writing good documentation disappears. When systems update through AI, institutional knowledge of why certain decisions were made erodes. Workers become more replaceable, less powerful.

Infrastructure determines what happens at scale. Anyone can technically run their own email server. Protocols are open, and software is free. Gmail dominates because practical barriers make corporate platforms the only viable option for most. AI follows this same logic, in an accelerated pace.

Most workers experience AI completely differently though. They use platforms their employers chose, running on hardware they don't personally control, and mandated or forced to them, often "or else...". This gap matters immensely..

This sort of argument reveals class position that we often do not bring on the table when talking about AI. When someone invokes freedom and AI, what they are describing is access to technical knowledge accumulated over years, hardware worth thousands of dollars, and time to experiment.

I keep seeing a repeat discourse regarding AI, the "revealed preference" argument. Someone says "AI is liberating because I use it to automate boring work and build something quickly".

They generalize from personal experience therefore this tech is revolutionizing everything for everyone else too.
