This is, quite frankly, complete bullshit. I’ve received more criticism, harassment, and — at one point — calls for my death in the past six months of criticizing this administration than I did in an entire FBI career of investigations, operations, and arrests. And I never wore a goddamn mask.
Tillis says he opposes ICE being barred from wearing masks: "I've seen people dox me. I've seen people take pictures and identify law enforcement officers and then put their families at risk. So, I think that's a step too far."

The problem of our time is that oligarchs have figured out how to use control of modern media to manipulate public opinion and corrupt democracies from the inside
From @status.news in their review and comment on Bari Weiss after her meeting with all hands today:

"installed by Ellison not primarily to strengthen their journalism... but to steer CBS News into waters more favorable to Donald Trump and the MAGA movement."

That's pretty much how I view it.

Or, hear me out, the legislative branch could act without Daddy’s approval or aid.
As Republican Senators pitch the idea of having Trump issue executive orders to dial down ICE in exchange for funding DHS, let's all be very clear: AN EXECUTIVE ORDER IS NOT THE LAW. (1/x)

Correct. The architect is Stephen Miller.

The influence and style is white supremacist and neo-Nazi.

The end goal is fascism.
Bovino is just the patsy - a noxious and odious fall guy. Stephen Miller is the architect and prime mover of the whole thing. Everything they do is at his direction - often after his threats. As long as he runs policy in the WH, nothing will change no matter how many Bovinos come and go.

The only difference between Homan and Bovino is that Homan understands that you keep the human rights violations out of public sight so people have plausible deniability to say “they didn’t know” later
CNN calling Tom Homan "well respected" and "not as hardline as Bovino" is an interesting choice. The dude took a $50,000 bribe in a fucking Cava bag and says all the same fascist shit as Bovino and Noem.

Bovino was doing exactly what Stephen Miller told him to. This is wildly insufficient.

This is why they're here. I've had this discussion many times with neighbors.

They're here because they're cowards who'd run and hide if they encountered someone stronger, with more guns, who could kill them.

They expected us to do that, and don't understand why we don't.

And now they're stuck.
I do think that a possibly underrated dynamic in The Horrors is that the Right as it has reconstituted itself under Trump legitimately can’t understand sincere moral or physical courage

part of this is like, conservatives projecting; part of this is conservatives unable to imagine politics without money; and part of this is dudes who are so out of touch with feminized labor that they think children's birthday parties exist as a spontaneous act of parthogenesis
I mostly just stay off Twitter altogether but after double checking that the Walter Hudson post was still up I ran across this and just had to share so the Romancelandians who bought hand warmers could hear about the PROFESSIONAL GRADE LOGISTICS.

1. Love to see this from KAT.

2. Amazing that the issue that's finally bringing athletes and pop stars back into politics is the same one the DC consulting class said to avoid at all costs.

3. More, please.

The founders wrote the 2nd Amendment for a reason: So you could hold a cool gun while you nod approvingly at what the government is doing.
seeing conservatives admit alex pretti was disarmed and need to change their message to “well you know where you won’t get shot? at home” is just an impressive level of pathetic allegiance to their dictator

Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt (R) on CNN: “I think the death of Americans, what we're seeing on TV, it's causing deep concerns over federal tactics and accountability. Americans don't like what they're seeing right now. … [Trump’s] getting bad advice right now.”

This is appalling. I can say with certainty that Steve Jobs would be ashamed of Tim Cook at this terrible moment, one of many these days, and he has sullied the last year of his tenure and the Apple brand by his craven need to please shareholders over holding onto some basic values of decency.
