To racist for an Afrikaner landlord has got to be some kind of record.
White Afrikaners looking at Trump and saying “don’t associate us with this racist!”

That’s quite a legacy.

Prominent Afrikaners are pushing back after President Trump announced no U.S. officials will attend the G20 in Johannesburg, rejecting his claims of "white persecution" in South Africa as false and politically driven.

At this point I look at calling the police basically the same way I look at firing a gun. You really shouldn't do it unless you're absolutely certain somebody needs to get shot.
Don't call the cops on someone in a mental health crisis unless you want them dead.
Three former San Antonio police officers were acquitted on Monday of all charges related to the fatal shooting of a woman who appeared to be having a mental health crisis when they were dispatched to her apartment in 2023. nyti.ms/4qRnvvT

Call for Schumer to resign, then we can talk. Until then?

Go fuck yourself with a cactus, Shel.
The sooner we get past internal recriminations and back to fighting united, the better off we all are — the likelier our victory next November.

Don’t take the high road, light ‘em up. Call their mothers bitches. Ask why their fathers raised soft little shits. Post their home addresses. Send their grandma a dick pic.

Bring. Back. Bullying.
Oh my goodness, taking the high road is getting harder and harder. Fam give me the strength to keep my mouth shut today

We're two hours into the workday and no senator has called for Schumer's ouster yet. No time like the present, you clowns

Disappointing to see @duckworth.senate.gov office not have any prepared candidate position on whether Schumer should step down or Durbin should resign over all this. She's generally been great, it would be a shame to have this be what she ruins her reputation for.
November 10, 2025 at 4:11 PM
Durbin is one of my Senators and I hope he lives long enough to see his grandchildren either turn their backs on him or fail in whichever way is most likely to break his heart.
Durbin said critics of his vote “need to understand how the Senate works”

"Leadership is about personal votes, not the capacity to steer your caucus during difficult moments" is certainly a possible take someone could have.
Fun facts: Chuck Schumer didn't negotiate this deal. Chuck Schumer isn't voting for this deal. Chuck Schumer isn't running for leadership next Congress.

Watch how many people shift their talking points.

To do this for Maker's Mark, the blandest, most character-free, ryeless, might-as-well-be-vodka, can't even say its because its made in his state, mid shelf bourbon on the market really hammers home how its just a "fuck you" to everyone around him.
This is far and away my pettiest Tim Kaine gripe but the Senator’s advance staff always deliver a bottle of Maker’s Mark that is for him only to fundraising events so he doesn’t have to do toasts with the cheap beer and wine the hosts provide and that always really irked me

That Klein doesn’t name these people so they can be dragged from their seats and driven naked into the woods is an indictment of both his personal character and the field of journalism more broadly.

Its always weird seeing people talk about "legitimate" film because theres inevitably a point when someone who only watches Real Art discovers some genre stalwart and acts like they're the first person to see a Bava flick without drooling on themselves.

Fuck you, traitor.
Democrats have been fighting for months to address America's healthcare crisis

For the millions who will lose coverage
For people with cancer who won't get the care they need
For working families who can't afford to pay $25K more a year for healthcare

We will keep fighting

A White Dress For Mariale(1972) for being such a mad, gorgeous little puzzle box that I could not believe I hadn't encountered before. Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia(1974) for being the most nihilistic thing I've seen in years. Fascination (1979) for turning me on to Jean Rollin.
What is the best movie not from this year that you’ve seen this year? Bonus points if you say why
