The concept is not cringe at all. We need more strong female leaders who can take charge & get things done.

But 'girlboss' as a *word* is cringe.`

did you fucking sleepwalk through Mamdani's race? did you not notice how he was whole in for trans rights and it HELPED him? because he had a spine?
Now that loud trans women have gaslit my mentions I'm trying to find one fucking instance where transwomen have supported women and poc

This teacup in a storm over Newsome vs Vance, a completely hypothetical match, is trans women loudly letting you know their allyship is convenience not conviction

If I had to give one piece of relationship advice to young women who are attracted to men, it would be to only date men you think would be fine with you making more. Nothing wrong with him making more or even you being a stay at home mom. But if he'd be triggered by you making more, he's a loser.
I don't know how many girls got psyoped into thinking being strong and independent was loser shit and the tradwife life was all fun and games, but any number above zero is too many.

The American people as a whole are in a weird place where they're simultaneously hyper-cynical and totally dismissive of the notion there are like 18 different psyops going on to undermine their belief in the concept of society.
Jesus Christ, at a certain point Gen Z has *got* to give up on this weird combination of antipathy and malaise that seems to be the only way so many of them are capable of engaging with politics.
This is a bold position for a voter guide to take

Baldur’s Gate 3 is set for its own TV series on HBO!

It will be a continuation of the story from the Baldur's Gate 3 game and will be helmed by The Last of Us co-creator Craig Mazin. https://bit.ly/4r2FWxm

The hyper-pedant in me says this is fundamentally just a Forgotten Realms show or at least a Baldur's Gate show, if it's not an adaptation of the game itself. Anyway, yes, why

Romney is just Bork 2.0, a guy who correctly lost the job he wanted and then conservatives proceeded to lose their minds over it
Not only does nobody believe this about mistreatment of Mitt Romney, but the Obama 12 campaign went *easier* on him than some of the whisper campaigns in the primaries. We said he was an out of touch rich guy who profited from shipping jobs overseas (true!), we didn't do whisper anti-mormon stuff.
but... but... but shitting on dems all the time no matter what is cool and fun and gets you clout and IN NO WAY fostered voter apathy among left leaning folks that got trump into office again...

AOC: We are going to have to reckon, as a country, with this time. And I hope that that reckoning includes prosecution of people who are involved with the lawbreaking and human rights violations they are knowingly engaging in right now.

Much of this is downstream of having successfully catapulted a socialist into executive office without a sufficiently strong socialist parliamentary bloc. We would have been running into the same problems if Bernie won in 2016. Sucks but that's what it is.
I think Zohran understands, unlike a lot of his very online supporters, that actually running a functional NYC administration is going to be a lot more effective victory for "the Left" than anything else he can do, and that doing that is in no way, shape, or form something you can take for granted.
it is, to me, insane that people mad at Zohran for endorsing Hochul without explicit promises in her *primary* are also just pretending that other *primaries* aren't happening and he's stuck with this state leg. No, he's not! this is to help ensure Hochul doesn't block anything

Is there any bigger tell than a guy claiming some freakish behavior is something all men do?
This is the Yale professor's explanation for why he described the physical attractiveness of a student in an email to Epstein. He explicitly says he regrets nothing about their association.

Again, I'm so happy Yale hired David Brooks to restore trust.

it's hard to reconcile the international consequences of the Epstein files with how many reactionary centrists seem to want to downplay the files

On the actual policy of the TX Senate Primary,

has anyone specified a policy difference between Talarico and Crockett? I know there are some but it's downright strange to see a race where nearly everyone is basing it on vibes or on electability.

If people knew what Dems ultimately want to do with ICE/DHS, which is to say their positive vision for immigration enforcement, there would be far fewer complaints about the set of demands they are making in this shutdown because nobody would mistake them for the final goal.

okay this is the first tactic I've seen suggested that seems even vaguely plausible, I will give you this would at least temporarily work. it's also the least deniable tactic I can think of which carries its own risks - for them
As I said yesterday, the real problem isn’t ICE passively intimidating voters, it’s ICE setting off a tear gas canister and shutting down a polling place
Breaking:

The White House press secretary just said she "can't guarantee" that ICE won't be around polling locations in November.
