I know statistics are poorly understood and are misused. But facts matter

Between the 1991, 2001, 2011 and 2021 Census *every* ethnic group in the UK has become *less* geographically segregated and *all* groups, majority and minorities, are more likely to interact with people not like them

For 56 minutes Sky News and BBC News interrupted everything else and carried a Reform UK feed live, uninterrupted, unchallenged. The stream spluttered, froze, pixelated - dozens of times - still they stuck with it. FOR ONE HOUR.

This is an editorial choice. No other party gets this coverage. ~AA

Why in this Mandelson saga are we ignoring the elephant in the room? That we’re about to welcome and honour a man who was a great pal of Epstein and who continues to lie about that every day?

Whenever Nigel Farage is properly challenged, he reminds me of those 1920s burlesque entertainers, whose act consisted of swapping the position of fans or balloons, really fast so nobody could catch a glimpse of their fanny.

Reform UK, which has a grand total of four MPs, was just given an uninterrupted platform for an hour and a half on the BBC and Sky News channels, in order to talk about its plans for mass deportations

When was the last time the Greens (with four MPs) or the Lib Dems (with 72) were given the same?

I am a long time police detective. When media is present at scenes and I'm just conferring with colleagues, I'll take a moment to hold my notebook, look at my colleagues and point at something random. The media just love that shot and it makes them both happy and go away sooner.

BBC news reporting Farage saying he’ll “cut crime by half”.

If they ever reported the Greens, and the Greens said they’d do something super-Green, like cut fossil fuel by 95%, there would be questions “how?” But Farage gets to just promise an impossible thing, and that’s the story? What a shitshow.

Just stumbled across this, and it took me back. Me and the guy I worked for at the time helped to arrange a Motörhead tour of Russia in 1997, and I remember us being faxed this rider and marvelling at the sheer quantity of alcohol required in the dressing room PER NIGHT
