🌱some garden updates. Squash and pumpkins progressing nicely and a tomato harvest worthy of making sauce! 🍅🌱
A bright orange heirloom squash is growing on the vine. The variety of squash is Boston Marrow. The photographer can tell the squash is not yet ripe because the coloring should be red-orange once the squash ripens. And heirloom pumpkin grows on the vine. The variety is Speckled Hound and it is colored a pale orange and dusky green in splotchy coloring. This pumpkin is good for spooky season decorating and makes an excellent cooking pumpkin. A wicker basket sit upon a lawn chair. The basket is filled to the brim with ripe paste tomatoes. The tomatoes are from a variety of paste tomato host plants ranging from Roma, Amish paste, San Marzano, and Ukrainian Purple. The photographer is thrilled to have collected over 15 pounds of tomatoes during this harvest!

Squash Update 🌱
We may have peaked.
An heirloom squash. Still very large and very round. It is white, green, and orange. The grass and thistle is growing around the squash because the poster has been unwilling to garden in the heat.

thought your fursday could use a little kelp
Ivy the southern sea otter lies very primly on her tummy with her front paws gently resting on bright green "carwash" kelp. (Carwash kelp is fake kelp made from strips of the same tough material they use on those big spinners in automatic car washes) Ivy has bright golden blonde fur on her head and chest, just beginning to extend down the tops of her front arms. Her back is chocolatey brown and slightly curved to the left as she rests on the tan, rocky deck of the Sea Otter Exhibit.

Squash update 🌱
An heirloom squash. It is round, yellow, white and green. It appears slightly larger than the last time it was photographed and also slightly more yellow. The photographer is touching the squash with her left hand, the purple nail polish contrasts nicely against the squash.
