As we grieve for Alex Pretti and Renee Good in MN, please do not forget Victor Manuel Diaz, who died in ICE custody after being taken from here. And all others who have died in their custody.
36-year-old Nicaraguan national Victor Manuel Diaz died in ICE custody on Jan. 14 at Camp East Montana in El Paso.

The Texas Nicaraguan Community on FB reports that his mom last heard from him on Jan. 6, when he told her he was planning to go to Minneapolis to start work in a restaurant. 1/3

Mirror-imaging. They could never imagine putting themselves on the line for another person or their community (remember JD Vance's theory of love, that it extends only to your family and no one else?) and they know any "resistance" on their end would be purely transactional - so they assume the same
James O'Keefe says he's never seen anything so organized as the anti-ICE movement, observers--he seems to think this term is code--everywhere he goes. Who is paying for it??? he demands to know. It's like he can't even imagine people caring for one another.

I'm not a law professor. So take this for what it's worth. But a pet idea of mine is that there should be a Miranda rule for the 4th Amendment. Police shouldn't trick people by asking to look in the trunk or enter the house without informing them that they have a constitutional right to say no.

Don't you love how the same people who want the Supreme Court to say that you should be able carry a gun on you anywhere, any time, will lie and say that someone the cops or ICE shot had a gun to say that they were "criminal." Funny that.

Really, she spent years undermining public health—and Democrats.

I just want people to know that there is no active insurrection, no regular protests, no rioting or whatever. The only time people are in the streets is when masked armed ICE thugs descend on one of our neighbors to disappear them as part of a federal government-led ethnic cleansing campaign.

Symbols actually matter. They make it clear you give a fuck and where you stand. Symbols motivate action which creates change.
They can file articles of impeachment and anything else all they like, they don’t have the votes to move anything. It would be symbolic at best
