The AI dorks have no ideas. They don't understand or appreciate art. They have nothing to say.

$30,000. Imagine what any of your favorite creative minds on Bsky who struggle to sell enough things to make rent every month could do with $30k given to them to make something from their hearts.
AI filmmaking is completely unserious.

You've got people with $30k begging the internet for ideas by next week because they have nothing of their own to say, it's just slop for the sake of slop. Embarrassing state of affairs.

Former Eisner judge here. Yes, absolutely. My year we nominated a number of self-published self-submitted works. (We also nominated some stuff no one--including the creator themseleves--had submitted, but don't count on that!)

👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼
Eisner submissions are now open. My fellow comic creators, no matter at what point in your career you are, if you're making comics in any form, these awards are "For You" and you absolutely can be nominated. Let's get small press/self pub comics on that list! ENTER: www.comic-con.org/uploads/2025...

I've girded my loins to try again: I want to pay someone to design three book covers.

Please read the thread, and if you can help - or know someone who can - please get in touch via the email address on my website (link in bio).

Reposts would be appreciated please! Many thanks

Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. It’s always a matter of will not resources.

OK, this is weird but I have to know. Does anyone remember a cute British comfort food restaurant in Manchester's Northern Quarter that served Mrs Kirkham's Cheese On Toast and, and here we come to the point, a dish named after Michael Palin. Mention in next book for info received.

I know cis people don't realize the cruelty, so with gentleness and empathy for them, let me try to explain.

Being trans is difficult. Instinctively, you already know this because you think it would be better not to be trans.
“We would expect support for full social transition to be agreed very rarely”
There you have it, the gov wants trans kids to rot in the closet
