OK, this is weird but I have to know. Does anyone remember a cute British comfort food restaurant in Manchester's Northern Quarter that served Mrs Kirkham's Cheese On Toast and, and here we come to the point, a dish named after Michael Palin. Mention in next book for info received.

@stuartmaconie.bsky.social - I think the challenge with Zappa is to dissociate him from the tiresome Groovy! brigade and judge his music on its own terms. I find the trick is NOT to picture the moustache. As soon as that comes to mind all is lost: it’s just lava lamps and paisley all the way to hell
