Having opened the show with it this morning and given it some thought, I know we’re supposed to dislike Kevin in My Perfect Cousin. But he likes The Human League and University Challenge and proper Subbuteo technique. Apart from the ‘sheepie’, you’d definitely want to hang out with him

Happy 60th Birthday, Post Office Tower! Love the bit in @stuartmaconie.bsky.social's Welfare State book about him interviewing Tony Benn there and some PR spotty Herbert keeps trying to get them to use the current brand name without success. Surely now's the time to reopen the rotating restaurant?

I know Handsworth well. I love it. The Soho Road is one of the most vibrant streets in the world. I was attached to the library there for a writing project last year and I wrote a whole chunk about it in my book Hope And Glory. Read it if you get a chance
