Once he started getting Dan Burn to take the long throws I’d have been printing the P45.
I’d like some updates on Newcastle United’s set piece coach. We still can’t decide who’s better taking corners and the routines remain one of three very average ones. We look worse than ever defending them too. It was never like this under Howe before. I’m not sure this lad isn’t stealing a living.

This is the only variation we’ve had apart from normal crossing. It doesn’t work. For any crosses, all the tall players at the back post run forward but it’s always deep so the numbers have gone and we’re left with one against three. I feel like I’ve seen that one on repeat with no tweak.
Short corner, play it to Murphy 30 yards out, shit angle, hit the first man. Absolute dog shit.

For anyone talking about a much improved second half - and I mean no disrespect to my Man U mates - that’s likely the worst Premier League team Newcastle will come across this season. They didn’t lay a glove on them.

Changes need to happen up on Barrack Road, but not the manager. He has to carry can, but, more than anything, we need to hear from and - above all - see action from the ownership. Moving into the fifth year and there isn’t even a site identified for further investment. Stump up or piss off.
