"It's better to regret something you did than something you didn't do" apparently. But I've only ever regretted not doing TWO things, and regretted 1000's of things I did.
I'm not sure we should be following life advice from the Butthole Surfers

Fuck me, its real! I mean, I knew Rob Schneider was an unlikeable unfunny hack who hadn't landed a good role in decades, but I didn't realise he was a conservative too.
Rob Schneider is an ambassador of the bourbon brand Tears of The Left, or, as it’s soon to be known, Tears as She Left.

The best part about entertainment doing stuff in France is that they quickly learn you can’t have the same strategy as you do in America, because they do not fuck around with worker rights in the way you’re apparently allowed to do here
🇬🇧✊🌀 Ubisoft : enough is enough! Faced with the arbitrary decision of the CEO who doesn’t even dare talking to employees anymore, unions are calling for a strike on February 10th, 11th and 12th.

Excellent
If you're sitting in front of me on a flight and, without giving a polite, cursory look over your shoulder, you recline your chair back into my face, I will be rolling up and dropping bogeys in your hair for the remainder of the flight.

Please spread this far and wide, as stories don't get much bigger than this. When the government blocks even the intelligence services from telling us we're heading for environmental catastrophe, you know we have a problem. A very big problem.
Thank you.

The UK government didn't want you to see this report on ecosystem collapse. I'm not surprised | George Monbiot
It took an FOI request to bring this national security assessment to light. For ‘doomsayers’ like us, it is the ultimate vindication, says Guardian columnist George Monbiot

Bernard's Watch is probably the super-power I think about most often. Only issue with it is I assume the wielder continues to age while time is frozen. Else I'd use it to catch up on reading... everything, then re-appear as a withered old man to everyone else

Interesting facts about purring thread
In my ongoing attempts to give you a break from *gestures widely* THE HORRORS:

Let's talk about the utterly bizarre science of cats' purring.

Here's a weird starting point:
There are NO cats (Felidae) that can BOTH roar AND purr.

Cats that roar = genus Panthera
Cats that purr = genus Felis

Our world in stupor lies;
Yet, dotted everywhere,
Ironic points of light
Flash out wherever the Just

Beleaguered by the same
Negation and despair,
Show an affirming flame.

Americans, famously, have easy access to guns. What's with all this "peaceful protest" bullshit while people are being kidnapped and murdered?

We've definitely forgotten the power of a General Strike in the UK. Am glad someone - and I really wonder who - managed to organise this
National media should really be covering the fact thay every major school, museum, and arts institution in the Twin Cities, and hundreds of local businesses are closed tomorrow to protest federal occupation.

Nothing like this at this scale has happened anywhere in America anytime in living memory.
