No, I want good movies to be only for a secretive intellectual elite who saw past the Veil of Maia to the true nature of reality. The rest of you deserve Fantastic 4: First Steps and Netflix tax write-offs.
The whole idea that there's this category of great art that no one really likes and you only watch it because you have to is a criminal conspiracy to drive people away from experiencing art.
People who think Kurosawa is “homework cinema” need to be slapped around a bit.

I'll go to bat for Data but these past few years have 100% reversed my position on Star Wars droids. Those are things.
It would be funny to rewatch Star Trek: TNG and be like, "Pulaski and the Drumhead guy are the only characters I relate to. Everybody else is a deluded simp for treating the microwave like a guy"
