Italian voice actor Carlo Bononi was the voice of all of the characters on Pingu. A trained clown by trade, he used a theater technique called grammelot, which consists of "speaking" in a mix of babbled gibberish noises. He improvised all the voices live and unscripted.

With the potential for impactful wintry weather on the rise for the end of the week for many of you, it's wise to ask: Are you prepared for a winter storm? If the forecast calls for winter weather in YOUR area, begin preparing NOW. Don’t wait until the last minute. weather.gov/safety/winter-before

cool! i will be happy to do so when:

-i run it on my own machine
-i know for sure it was built on information you didn't steal
-i get to know what it's doing and how much power it takes to do it
-even then, only using it to navigate preexisting info/media, not make shit up

sound good? huh? no?
AI sits in billions of phones. Refusing to engage won't stop it, just leaves vulnerable people without knowledge. Demand ownership and control, not abstinence.
Abstinence From AI Is Not the Answer
Opinion | Refusing to use AI won’t protect society. Responsible resistance must include gaining knowledge about it.

I submitted all of my assignments for the week with 50 minutes to spare 🎉
Next week I'm paired with a classmate and we each need to ask each other questions. I pick a topic I'm knowledgeable on and she asks me as if she's interviewing me, the SME, to write about the topic. And vise versa.

I used to do this with or first cat, Sheena. She LOVED it! Especially if I held her like a baby and her head was upside down.

I've tried it with Sweet Pea, but it just gives her ideas on places she can try to get to in order to destroy more things 😑
Sometimes I pick Mona up and take her on a tour of things she can't reach and it's one of her favorite things.

Canadian MPs calling it open fascism is progress.
This is fascism in plain sight: the belief that power decides everything, borders are negotiable, allies are disposable, and democracy is an inconvenience.

Greenland is part of Denmark, a NATO ally.

Having conflicting due dates drives me.
The calendar says the class discussion post is due today. But there's a line in the directions that says it's due two days before the due date.

Just .. what.

And of course, today is the due date in the calendar. So I'm going to be two days late.

My power just returned...
the heaviest wet snow correlates with the highest density of outages.
Drier fluffy snow over Chignecto, PEI and NB... zero outages.

Normal weather doesn't cause power outages. A badly designed, installed and maintained grid incapable of operating in normal weather conditions causes power outages.
After a typical seasonal snowfall, Nova Scotia Power reports 412 power failures affecting 130,898 ratepayers.

5:55 am and I finally figured out what my cat has been crying about ALL night: the food she started to eat just fine was suddenly poison and she needed a different fucking can opened.

Same lot. Same box. Same flavour. Just different can.

I am going to lose my shit if this doesn’t calm her tf down
