If your business model doesn’t work without breaking the law, you’re not in business.

You’re in organized crime.

I treated myself to something I wanted for a long time and almost immediately Sweet Pea gets sick. She eats a tiny bit then immediately throws it up. The vet is closed until Monday so it’ll be an emerg trip.

CRA wrongly demanded that both my wife and her sister pay back some of the CERB they got. My wife spent months fighting them and won. Her sister didn't have the stomach for the fight and paid back thousands that was rightfully hers and that she couldn't afford to lose.
Canada needs money so desperately the government is going after low income people who took pandemic benefits in good faith.

But it doesn't need money desperately enough to keep the luxury tax on yachts, or the slightly higher tax rate on capital gains Carney cancelled.

I think the real question it raises is how useful CEOs truly are
A study by Dayforce shows 87% of executives use AI for work, compared to 57% of managers and just 27% of employees.

I think this explains the massive disconnect we see in how CEOs talk about AI versus everyone else. It also raises the question of how useful it truly is for frontline work?
Execs are embracing AI more than their employees are, new research suggests
Research from HR software company Dayforce suggests that executives are leaning into AI far more than their employees.

Just clicked into a twitch stream to watch some Fallout and it was a really nice stream! Everyone was lovely.

But while on a short break, their background music became very apparent. As did the wobbly sound music seems to make when it's AI generated.

Noped out of that shit real fast. Fuck that.

I don’t know if anyone else notices or cares, but when I see a presentation in which the speaker uses obviously generated-AI images to illustrate their slides, it makes me immediately less confident in whatever other content they’re presenting.

This is horrifying -- I started following this guy who walks through AI video and "tells" / sometimes best practices. It doesn't mean I can tell necessarily, but it did help me stop assuming things and actually go check stuff: www.instagram.com/showtoolsai/
This person is one hundred percent correct and it’s scary af. We will never “media literacy” our way out of this as a society. We are about to reap the whirlwind when it comes to misinformation, disinformation, and informational warfare.
