I just want everyone to know this isn't specific to ICE - police love to withhold your medication as well. I have seen people getting strokes and cardiac events in police custody because they were restrained and held without their medication.
A kidney transplant recipient in Minnesota who was arrested by ICE has allegedly been denied access to life-saving medication for more than four days.

I've been to some countries where people live under military rule or autocracy. And without fail, one of the questions I get when they ask about life in the U.S. is whether it's true that Americans just let homeless people die on the street.
