If people are going to make money from social media, it seems so wildly obvious that what can be broadcast by the platforms is regulated in the same was as TV is.
Hate-filled fake videos about London are everywhere. We've obtained a recording of a TikToker confessing to secretly filming Londoners in their homes for clicks.

He says it's not political. He just wants to make money from far-right anger.

‘We lived a miraculous thing’: Castel di Sangro, 30 years on from their epic rise
‘We lived a miraculous thing’: Castel di Sangro, 30 years on from their epic rise
Small town club’s Serie B adventure captivated football and inspired a famous book. That spirit remains and is being passed to their successors The WhatsApp group flickers into life at about 6am every day. It is the manager who goes first because, when you are 79, old habits die hard. “Good morning,” Osvaldo Jaconi hails his former players and staff before, little by little, the salutations roll in from across Italy. Maybe it is someone’s birthday or another special occasion; the conversation may be accelerated by an in-joke that recalls why, three decades ago, they were brought together in the first place. Just in case anyone could forget, the group’s title says: “Serie B.” This is how miracles stay alive. Perhaps it is the point of what Castel di Sangro achieved in 1995-96. A rag-tag bunch from this backwater in mountainous Abruzzo had risen from local amateur leagues and then, in a crowning triumph with little precedent, made it to the second tier. “It’s like 30 years haven’t passed,” says Angelo Petrarca, who was nominally the masseur but often resembled a one-man backroom. “It shows how much love everybody has for each other, and did back then. As if everybody is still right here.” Continue reading...

16 games.
13 wins.
2 draws.
1 defeat - away in Europe to Midtylland.

38 goals scored and 12 conceded.

He has the team playing with belief and purpose again even when not at their best.

This policy isn’t just a slippery slope to a handmaids tale dystopian future - it’s a deliberate step towards it

The Greens misleading claims, dodgy bar charts & briefings risk letting them in the back door. Only voting Labour can stop Reform. My letter to Green Leader @zackpolanski.bsky.social 👇🏻

The two-child benefit limit is being scrapped. That's 450,000 children lifted out of poverty by 2029.

In Hodge Hill and Solihull North - where nearly half of kids are growing up in poverty - this matters.

Life happens - job losses, bereavements - our safety net needs to be there.

Those saying Mandelson is the “greatest scandal ever” presumably refer to what happened under the last Labour govt in 09/10. No. Commonsense reform is to burn ICE to the waterline and scatter the rubble so that all of us who value a constitutional republic with a Bill of Rights can prevent such a monstrosity from ever being constructed again.
And nothing above is hyperbole.

God, but you are not a leader for this time.
Democrats want commonsense reform for ICE:

End the roving patrols and racial profiling.

Take accountability and abide by the same rules as local police.

Masks need to come off, body cameras need to stay on—no secret police in the United States of America.

The American election experience could benefit a lot from learning how we count votes in Britain.

In a provincial sports centre on a Thursday night, all by hand, no running tallies, and most people are home by 5am.
So much of GOP conspiracy land is simply not understanding how counting works. No one is ever “ahead” or “behind” until the counting is over.
Mike Johnson on Trump calling for Rs to "nationalize" elections: "We had 3 Republicans who were ahead on election day in last cycle & every time a new tranche of ballots came in they just magically whittled away until their leads were lost. It looks on its face to be fraudulent. Can I prove it? No"
