Pretty incredible own goal by liberal institutions and many Democratic electeds to crush the exact type of protests in 2024 that would’ve been the most effective way to slow or stop ICE incursions into American cities in 2025

I rarely share organizations in Gaza because it’s too hard to verify that they are doing the work they say they are but I know multiple people who were able to evacuate through the people working on this fund who are funding trips out of Gaza City (it’s $2100 a trip for 16 people).

Why would you think this? Why, if you thought it, would you type it out and share it with the world?

Great thread on housing in NYC. Landlords want renters to shoulder the debt accrued by landlords, and get pissy about Mamdani because his rent freeze policy would prevent them from offloading their debt costs as they wish.
The problem, in other words, is entirely about debt, not the actual costs of providing rental housing. The problem is that building owners expected rents to rise faster than they turned out to, and took out bigger loans than the actual rent increases could justify.

Mamdani is going to win by 50 points.
Trump talked to Andrew Cuomo about the mayor's race. Completely disqualifying that Cuomo would even take the call, even worse that his allies want Trump involved www.nytimes.com/2025/08/06/n...

The first "famine" in history where the occupying power could probably give any of the victims a still-warm Domino's Pizza at any time if it wanted to:
While all of Gaza starves and the entry of aid is prohibited, American mercenaries with the assistance of an IDF armored convoy are able to bring Domino’s pizza in when they feel like it.
