Friendly but exhausted, makes a good plan, full of ADHD and books of lists (she/her)
Very serious but also do other British people see this and think the “lo” has dropped off the start?
this interview, and the subsequent reporting around it, was absolutely infuriating. any other sector's big business lobby wouldn't get this kind of uncritical, uninformed, wildly inaccurate coverage, yet disabled peoples' essential services do [little 🧵]

My husband is playing Kingdom come: deliverance 2 and it cracks me up. He’s always about the herb gathering. Something about it cracks me up though, he’s eating his soup in a nice hut as a wholesome looking guy in Eastern Europe.

They finally get the one causing the chaos and he's suffering the same, high stress markers including parasites.

Reminds me of an old research study on baboons where a well balanced troop, all in good health, minimal stress, has a very large, young male from outside come in and terrorize the troop, trying to establish dominance. They sedate parts of the troop and they are all suffering, parasites, poor...

Trump, being in the process of sun downing, probably hates all the miserable people around him, because they're all evil, and he's losing grip with reality. Then a real human being comes around and is warm and friendly, and grandpa is just beside himself. He needs to be in a home.

Greetings from Kyiv.

I’ve just listened to Zelenskyy’s address to the Ukrainian people.
My opinion?

This man knows what is right.
Ukraine is under enormous pressure from the current US administration.
Zelenskyy made it clear: he wants a decent peace. We all do.

Decent peace is not capitulation.

So much for holidays to Copenhagen, I know it’s hard to exist ethically in a society but they’re literally currently stealing the babies in the colonialist standard pattern? I can’t imagine the grief of those parents.

I don't deny that dogs can sometimes be quite lovely but what I will say is I don't trust their opinions. If a cat recommended me an album it had bought, I'd totally check it out. If a dog did the same, I'd promise to listen to the album, out of politeness, with no intention of actually doing so

When I worked at a bookstore, I quickly learned that people cannot tell the difference between Xmas music and any Baroque or Elizabethan music album that doesn't get too organ-ish. I used this to my advantage.

One customer caught on... AND THANKED ME
If we had to hear “Baby Shark” everywhere we went for two whole months out of the year we’d throw a fit, right?

And rightfully so.

So tell me, why do we put up with it when the song is “Frosty the Snowman”?

FYI: turning off "Smart features" also turns off spell check and the promotions and social tabs. And more.

In effect, a lot of traditional tools in gmail are switched off if you don't let them upload your contracts, love notes, and sad messages to your friends into their plagiarism machine.
If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.

Part of the issue is so many people REFUSE outright to comprehend dynamic disability

You saw me work in the garden all afternoon yesterday? So i must be lying today about not being able to get up? No friend, I just experience post exertional malaise and yesterday I fucked myself up for six weeks
And then it's also hard to explain to people, because I HAVE VISION, that I am also someone who deals with being blind.

I'm centrally blind in one eye, and have only partial vision in the other. But most of the time I can read. I can MOSTLY navigate the world.

a piece of advice I didn't put in here but I really wish to offer:

if you see a friend 'posting through' some kind of horrible online pile-on event, reach out privately and say the words 'I love you and please stop posting. let's have a phonecall & see each other in person, shall I pop over?'
