Life in Minnesota is getting invited to the house of a lady who you met in a neighborhood signal chat because she said she needed a dozen whistles and then talking for an hour in her kitchen about how to develop an anti-ICE patrol for her kid’s fucking preschool.

THIS is how you do it
Frost: People should know that them cutting your healthcare, them cutting nutritional assistance, SNAP benefits, all this stuff—they're cutting that from working people so they can give ICE money to go terrorize our communities.

Bear with me for a thread.

Republicans have mastered the art of making excuses for horrific things they want and forcing an argument online and in media over the *excuse* rather than the deed. It ends up in completely fake arguments. Rufo & others basically admit this.

this is what I would also like to know.
Here is what I would like to see reported - how much is the ICE action in Minnesota costing per day? And I mean total cost - transportation, vehicle rental, hotel, per diem, hazard pay, overtime pay, kristi noem's glam squad giving her hourly lip injections, etc. What is it costing us?

hard to overstate what a colossal fuck-you this is in the upper Midwest. People do this for strangers, or that neighbor they don’t really care for, without a second thought
This morning in Minneapolis, an ICE vehicle got stuck on an icy hill in a residential neighborhood. Agents had to push the vehicles out, some almost slipping in the ice themselves.

Rest in power to Keith Porter who was murdered by an ICE agent in Los Angeles.

It’s terrible that his name is just now being circulated, but now that it is, continue to say his name.

Advocates argue that the off-duty ICE agent wasn't trained for the situation and should have called police and waited for them to arrive.

All of this comes from 'victim-jelousy'. 'You think you're oppressed? I am even more oppressed.'

Just dumb times.
Imagined victimhood is a foundational tenet of fascism. Persecution fantasies permeate conservative politics. Their great oppressors include racial diversity, science, drag brunch, children's literature, public education, N-95 masks, electric cars, medicine, the rule of law, empathy, and Ms. Rachel.
ICE agent Jonathan Ross, who shot and killed an unarmed civilian, flew a don't-tread-on-me Gadsden flag at his house, per the Daily Mail.

We just have to go back to only handmade zines.

In Mosseri’s essay he says, “In a world where everything can be perfected, imperfection becomes a signal. Rawness isn’t just aesthetic preference anymore—it’s proof.”

Every single university in the country should be deleting or locking its accounts now. It’s negligence to be posting photos of students, faculty, or staff on the site.
Even more broadly, large organisations need to think very carefully whether they should be encouraging employees and customers to engage with them in any way on a platform where there is industrial scale production and distribution of CSAM and where the owner has shown no interest in tackling it.
The government should not only be stopping using the platform they should also be issuing urgent safeguarding advice to all institutions not to post pictures there.

Jesus this is bleak
"Today we’re in thrall to a con man who denigrates the very idea of truth and uses media only to distract and divide. And so the CPB board members broke their plowshares lest they be beaten into swords by a deranged demagogue. It was their last act of patriotism."
This is tragic:
"Defunded by Congress and fearing the Trump administration might pervert the organization to further undermine free media, the board members agreed it was better to salt the earth than leave behind a place for Trump to plant his poisonous, choking weeds." — @lizdye.bsky.social
