Driving a car is not a civil liberty, it's a licensed privilege.
I think it was a huge mistake to make our society so car-dependent. But man. The Discourse today is a good reminder that when it comes to roadways policy, otherwise progressive anti-car people quickly become some of the most pro-carceral, anti-civil liberties people on the planet.

Every movie is a Christmas movie if you believe so in your heart. Shawshank Redemption? Christmas movie! I mean, how many years was Andy Dufresne in prison? You know how many Chrismtases they celebrated in that time? We don’t have to see them to know this in our hearts.
It’s the time of year where everyone debates Die Hard being a Christmas movie (it is) but so is Batman Returns, Eyes Wide Shut, Lethal Weapon, Gremlins, and Rambo First Blood. If I see a tree, lights, presents, or even a single chubby bearded guy eating a cookie, it counts.

So love wobbegongs. Everything is good about the wobbegong. Its name. Its flattened Oscar the Grouch face. Its frondy bits. Its lazy life as a hungry rug. And it’s a shark. Outstanding animal 10/10
The Tasselled Wobbegong is a master of disguise that can eat a fish almost as big as itself in one gulp. It's classified as a shark, but when it lays on the sea floor it looks like a harmless rug if you manage to see it. But with powerful jaws and sharp teeth they are no fish to mess with.
