A family friend was telling us about what her husband shared about his experience in Broadview before he was deported back to Mexico. She's been sharing to friends and family because she's just in disbelief & horror what her husband told her. She wasn't able to talk to him until he was in Mexico.

This is a good thread up and down but this is the key point about how this country was fucked by Calvinism from the start.
Then, and even worse, if you want to be among the Elect and go to Heaven, YOU MUST BE SUCCESSFUL. Therefore, anything you do to achieve success is acceptable, because hey! God likes you! He's already decided your sins don't count.
