Many moons ago, a recurring theme in the Mueller Report was that Trump kept ordering people to obstruct justice and they just kind of ignored him? Now the whole govt. works like that.
The whole world is now being instructed that Donald Trump can just say shit like “we’re going to run Venezuela” and sometimes it means nothing at all.
UN Ambassador Michael Waltz: "There is no war against Venezuela or its people. We are not occupying a country. This was a law enforcement operation."

yep. i can identify any number of structural issues but at the end of the day the basic problem is the republican party. this has been apparent for at least 20 years. it is also an incredibly unpopular observation to make among “serious” people.

They’re not going to deport 100 million people. The sentiment should be taken seriously. At the same time, these people can barely do what they’re already doing, they’ve lost or are losing public and institutional support, and the midterms are eleven months away.
