It's not a new observation at this point but that wild Noem/Lewandowski story in WSJ really brings home the extent to which all the Trump 2 cabinet-level goblins see their jobs as flying private, doing short-form video, and screaming at underlings. They all hate each other and none of them can read.

not only is this reply *really* funny by itself, but it gets even funnier if you search this guys posts for mentions of ai, in which you can see him constantly struggling with it to work/cooperate/etc
I experience it. You have made a lot of assumptions from my two posts. that's fine. I don't know anything about you but I live it. I've done more in the last two months than two years using AI to accomplish real results. Do I think it's great? Mixed bag! Might be the end of me one day. dunno

The democrats are absolutely failing to understand that the *moderate* position is abolish ICE.

Too many won't act for the moral good because they think they can't keep their jobs that way. They all need to feel that the *only* way they can keep their jobs is if they actually fight for us.
“Renee Goodman [sic], Alex Pretti – there are no words,” DeLauro said.

“You said there were no words after the murder of those two individuals,” said Rev. Jack Perkins Davidson. “I think the words are ‘Abolish ICE.’”

One thing I’ve learned that is that arguments in favor of something that does measurable harm to your community — using genAI, skipping vaccines, not wearing masks — are generally not reasoned or based in science or even deeply held beliefs. The actor simply does not want to *have to do something.*

can't help but think there is probably a corrosive effect of having sex trafficker-elite emails unveiled for months on end as one of the biggest cultural/news stories of the last year— unearthing an inexcusable moral rot in the upper echelons of power—but without any real accountability/justice

This is why I can't understand the incrementalism. There's horror shit happening to kids in these places. Horror shit. OK? That has to matter. The longer we wait the longer these kids suffer.
I was just denied entry to the Dilley detention facility while my constituent, seven-year-old Diana, remains inside.

What kind of sick, horrific conditions are children being forced to endure in there?

I will be back tomorrow. Accountability can’t wait.

I cannot stand the "this is a good start" discourse. The Democrats in Congress do not want to abolish ICE. They have proposed a series of bog-standard reforms regurgitated by a think tank. Everyone knows they do not work. The Democrats supporting this do not care. They just want to move on.

i appreciate that you described the razor-edged pendulum swinging back and forth above us, and noted in detail that it is also slowly descending towards the table we're strapped to. and yet i can't help but ask why you failed to condemn these acts or make clear to your audience that they are bad?

one of my strongest beliefs is that we're in our situation right now bc some of the most prominent talking heads (e.g. joe rogan, andrew schulz) are learning about politics in their 40s and 50s, instead of their teens and early 20s, and we have to go along for the ride as they learn basic things

These numbers are simply incredible. It's very clear that most ordinary people have figured out that ICE is not remotely functioning as a law enforcement agency any longer and that none of this is about enforcing the law in any recognizable sense.
