It's striking that progressives like Tim Walz and Zohran Mamdani evoke the middle American attitude that, "Yes, we can fix these social problems because we're Americans and it's the right thing to do!" While the "America first" right only emulates failed and failing nation-states elsewhere.

People in the US are completely unaware of the dramatic changes to the US National Security Strategy which now essentially allies this country with Russia and against NATO.

Gen Xer and 40-year Internet denizen here, nodding sagely. The kids are alright.
Saw Bluesky described as where elder millennials go to retire from the internet, and immediately felt the peace that passes all understanding wash over me. None of have to struggle any longer. We completed our time.

(Every lesson was the same--drive the driver's-ed teacher/golf coach to a pro shop in town to get a cup of coffee and flirt with the staff, switch seats with the other student, then drive back to the school. The '80s writhed in hardcore punk for a reason.)
