Great to have seen him five times over last summer's Kurosawa season at Eye Filmmuseum in Amsterdam, not just Seven Samurai but Kagemusha is also ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. (As is Naruse's When a Woman Ascends the Stairs!)

Maybe no surprise but I nevertheless had to make a (very much earned) effort to say that, after a weekend of heavy listening, yes, my fav new album this week is indeed Lux, the overwhelmingly ambitious and spectacular new one from Rosalía. This one’s going to stick around for a while, I’m sure.
