It amused me that Our Beloved Premier, Danielle Smith, met the news of the seizure of the President of Venezuela with "This just further underlines that we need to build a new pipeline".

This story is missing some important info. For people not familiar with Roberts Banks, it’s a major port south of Delta. It’s also a estuary critical to the survival of the Fraser Chinook salmon and the Southern Resident Killers Whales, which are currently on the GoC’s endangered list.
Robert’s Bank (south of Vancouver) now under consideration for a west coast oil pipeline terminus.
Also sounds like Kitimat is sensibly out of the running, even for Smith.
