Carbon is the New Metal. Will Canada Compete?

Alberta, Canada are a global leader in the emerging advanced materials industry, but could be eclipsed by USA and China without more investment and policy support.

Alberta Separatism: Americans Living in the Wrong Country

"Grievances" with Ottawa don't explain why a quarter of Albertans support secession.

Does that make AB especially vulnerable to political interference by Trump and MAGA?

PM @mark-carney.bsky.social wants Canadian LNG production to rise 500% by 2035.

But a tsunami of new supply arriving between now and 2030 is a huge damper on his ambitions.

BC's Ksi Lisims project is the only one Mike Fulwood thinks has a chance.

Bitumen could be used as the feedstock to make Galvorn ($7 million per kg to NASA).

How Alberta’s Oil Patch Sees Its Future

As I've noted, AB CEOs share OPEC, Shell, and ExxonMobil's vision for O&G's future.

So do Danielle Smith, Brian Jean, Mark Carney, Dave Eby, and Arian Dix.

What if they're wrong? Spoiler alert: they are.

Oxford gas expert: Only One New Canadian LNG Plant Likely to be Built

@MarkJCarney says Canadian LNG grows 500% by 2035.

Mike Fulwood says probably only Ksi Lisims gets built, a small % of that.

Who's right? My $$ is on Mike.

2026 to 2030 LNG supply will grow by 50%.

There aren't enough customers. Prices will plunge. Investment will be delayed or cancelled.

You should. Export markets like China and the EU are beefing up their carbon markets and regulations.
