By using s33 pre-emptively, the UCP is not simply admitting that their laws are breaching Charter rights. (Governments have done that before.)
By foregoing judicial review, they are further admitting that their laws cannot be justified in a democratic society.

The UCP must think that Albertans are gullible fools. They forget that we are aware of the high level of corruption & incompetence within the UCP. Even though there has not been a public inquiry, the info that is in the public domain is appalling. I will never trust them to manage a pension plan.
The resolution book is out for the upcoming UCP convention — and even after it has become abundantly clear that the VAST majority of Albertans oppose the idea, the UCP base is still pushing to pull our province out of the Canada Pension Plan (CPP).

Alberta’s "Recall Them All" graphic is a stark visual warning. When this many MLAs face active recall efforts (green/blue/red), it signals a crisis of accountability & public disconnect. Too entrenched in arrogance and entitlement? Albertans are clearly not being served. #ABleg #ABpoli #RecallTemAll

This choir is incredible.
My dad sings in an incredible semi-professional choir in Portland and I’ve heard them sing this so many times and I cannot tell you how jealous I am that I don’t get to be one of the voices you never hear but you couldn’t live without who makes this sound possible
