The ‘Streisand effect' strikes again. The Late Show interview with James Talarico, which CBS kept from airing fearing the FCC, has 5.4 million views on YouTube. On a typical night about 2 million people tune in to watch Stephen Colbert. youtu.be/oiTJ7Pz_59A?...

After CBS released a statement without Stephen Colbert's knowledge denying that it had pulled an interview with Texas Democratic James Talarico from his show, Colbert responded by crumpling up the statement and treating it like dog crap.

this piece makes some important points including:

1) The FCC hasn't actually changed the late night equal time rules
2) Enforcement of a violation would be very limited usually requiring equal time for the other candidate(s)

Given all that, why did CBS censor Colbert? To keep Trump happy.

Censoring Colbert over a harmless interview with a Dem was an incredible own-goal by Trump's goons because millions more people watched it, it significantly raised Talarico's profile, and made it even harder for anyone to trust CBS, Paramount, and the FCC going forward.

James Talarico is amazing, but so is Jasmine Crockett.

I'm unsure what factions are coming together to promote one over the other.

Talarico has the ability to infiltrate evangelical circles.

Crockett brings the kind of fire we are begging dems to unleash on the regime.
