This is essentially what governments did in the late 1900s and early 2000s with respect to Nazis. Whether you were a lowly concentration camp guard or in Hitler's inner circle, if there was evidence you were a Nazi, it was straight to jail with your walker.

There's been a lot of talk about a "Democratic Tea Party" or whatever, but the important part is that the original Tea Party made Republicans terrified of getting outflanked on their right and Democratic voters can use these seven seats to make it clear that Democrats need to worry about their left.
Yes, these Democrats are in districts that narrowly went for Trump in 2024.

Whatever else you can say about the Nobel Prize, the fact that giving it to Obama was THIS specifically enraging to the slice of White America for whom Trump functions as a walking embodiment is as good an argument as any for why it WAS appropriate to do so.
Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize largely for not being George W. Bush, and even at the time everyone thought it was kind of a stupid move. Imagine how quickly they'll award the 2029 Nobel Peace Prize to whomever is the next president not to be Trump!

History will judge Chuck Schumer as entirely ill-equipped for this moment. I try my best to see the good in our party leaders because I understand we're in uncharted territory, but it is beyond obvious he's the wrong person for the job.
