This is so transparently a fake/planted/PR-generated news item to generate hype for the pre-production of the new movie(s). Bond never had real coherent continuity before the Craig movies, nobody will give a damn that it's a new gut, nobody liked that last one.
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”
Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:
“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

Reduction in Force. All people RIF'ed from October 1st to now need to be rehired, and no RIFs are allowed until the end of the CR.
The mechanism of enforcement is the Anti-deficiency act, which is real and has serious teeth, and the explicit nature of how it's spelled out is not nothing.

NEW: Dems easily flipped the sheriff's office in Pennsylvania's Bucks County, a big swing county in the Philly suburbs.
So? The incumbent GOP sheriff had contracted with ICE. His Dem challenger promised to end the contract.
Now he wants other swing-state Dems to look at his victory as a lesson:

A weird article. Surely this is only a headache if you believe every Bond film is sequential to the last which has just… never been true? I guess maybe until the Craig era. But he’s dead. So… new era. Set it in the 80s. Or the 60s. Or the 90s. Who cares?

Yea on one hand people will call this cope, on the other hand when was the last time you thought about (just for example) Charlie Kirk?
one of the weirdest things that people believe on a website where the collective mood changes every thirty-six hours is that events completely unknown to 60% of the population, where 90% have the facts wrong, will have persistent effects eighteen months later

Maxwells compliance with Trump also has to be viewed through the lens that Maxwell could reasonably assume that Trump ordered that Jeffrey Epstein be killed while he was in prison.
“The President sent his lawyer to negotiate a settlement with a convicted sex trafficker to provide cushy accommodation in exchange for her silence on his participation in said sex trafficking” is a cold description of the facts of an insane story that the media doesn’t find worthy of scrutiny

Unsurprising to me that a writer for the military industrial complex defending New York Times would publicly bash a film brave enough to suggest corruption in the US intelligence agencies, as Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever does.

Okay so all love to Ahmed Best and the reappraisals of the Prequels but that's like... the WORST possible defense of Jar-Jar (and not surprised to see who it's from)

this is pretty much only a 1990s thing, it is mostly gone by the late 2000s. the greed/business side is still there, not the liberalization fantasy.
This is also said about Europe's approach to China and I simply don't believe this is true. I was at conferences with senior US folk in the early 2010s and none thought China would become more democratic or liberal.

2026 is *already* an anti-incumbency mini-wave just based on the number of retirees and non-runnings being the second highest since 2012. There will be more, and most actual primary challenges haven't announced yet. Most of this was already baked-in.

See, this from ThirdWay (literally "we invented centrism!") makes me think The Story here= 'strategy disagreement' more than 'Dems not afraid of base.'
They're actually scared SH--LESS of the base now, but also (incorrectly) think "end shutdown" was a must, hence only "already gone" swordfall votes
