Chili peppers can be used in most meals I cook. Fish sauce is pretty specific IMO, but it's not perishable.

In 2009, this was the mask of a UK SAS character in “Call of Duty.” By 2015 it was de rigeur among Iraqi government commandos and Shiite militiamen. In 2018, in “Sicario 2,” it was what CIA surrogate characters wore to disguise themselves as cartel gunmen.

Now US law enforcement wears it.

i dunno man maybe the political director of a cable news network should be a tad bit less credulous
After Trump tells NBC News he could maybe use a "softer touch" on immigration, we immediately get the "different tone" narrative from CNN.

Brianna Keilar: "A change of tone for the president. Softer touch."

David Chalian: "He acknowledged learning something that this requires a softer touch."

The big home builders approach Trump with one policy that would actually be popular and he can't even take the W.

Yeah, I have been lowkey kind of fascinated by this genre of post, which really does seem to vindicate the "everything is just perception via social media" theory of politics.

We thought it was such a good thing that we had the council past a law last year enabling it, had the previous Mayor sign it into law, and had a city agency start an enforcement investigation at the same time.

They're basing it solely on the two recent high-profile murders where other footage was available, meanwhile there's also a woman fighting to get ICE to release body cam footage of them shooting her, footage that she's lucky even exists. And we're lucky that it exists too.

This is brilliant. I'm so grateful for this testimony. I've transcribed it to use in letters I'm writing. Sharing the full transcription here (see alt text to copy/paste it):

I'm really a movies guy, not a show guy. The opposite of Star Trek. But I should catch up.

I think a computer program having a bug and/or erring on the side of caution is preferable to, in effect, a conspiracy being alleged by a lot of BlueSky posters in regard to this ban.

OK but he was unbanned within 45 minutes of being banned. I think autoban override is the simplest explanation.

The same bot mod that's in charge on the first pass every place nowadays. He's now unbanned.

Straight out of an udder is probably fine if that's what they were actually doing. The bottling and distribution is the problem that pasteurization solves.

Raw milk people are confusing a county fair novelty with normal rural life and then thinking their house in the burbs is rural life.
