this is genuinely pissing me off and especially coming from non New Yorkers. everyone I work with is scared of January. we all voted for Mamdani but do not want our city under siege. god forbid our mayor elect do what he can to prevent that outcome - without conceding anything!!!
Genuinely do not understand the people who think it's some weird double standard or hypocrisy to treat Whitmer and Mamdani's visits to the white house differently. Whitmer was going there to support his tarrifs, Mamdani was just going for a conversation
