this is a phenomenal quote

While reporting this, I had something happen that's never happened. A comms rep for one of the co's disputed my reporting and said what I was telling them was untrue because it was not in Grok, xAI's chatbot.

I was looking directly at the files. And this person was using AI to challenge the truth.
Epstein had many known connections to Silicon Valley CEOs, but less known was how he made money from those relationships.

We did a deep dive into how he got dealflow in Silicon Valley, giving him shots to invest in Coinbase, Palantir, SpaceX and other companies.

For those not in #Minnesota, please know that the remaining 2300 agents on the ground have redoubled their efforts at terrorizing the citizenry.
I’m on the scene at Franklin and 1st. A convoy of about a couple dozen ICE/HSI agents broke the entryway into an apartment building at 6am. No warrant presented. Less than 24 hours ago, Tom Homan announced the end of large convoys in Minnesota… Bullshit.

The morning after mass layoffs, The Washington Post publishes this as their lead editorial. The owner and publisher clearly have no idea why they are losing subscribers. Meanwhile they have destroyed a storied brand.

I'd call it Network State run media.

Because it's not the actual government taking over, it's the international network of tech billionaires who *control* the government right now and consider themselves above and beyond the power of state sovereignty itself.
This is the pattern. Purchase/Take Over a media source that has informed the public. Then dismantle them to the lowest form:
1. Twitter
2. Meta
3. Washington Post
4. CBS-60 Minutes/News
5. Public Broadcasting
6. Tik Tok

We are up to our necks in state run media.

As a disabled person with all the neurodivergences and significant sensory sensitivities: the existence of fascism causes me more pain on a daily basis than anything else and they're not even at my doorstep yet. Please keep using the whistles
Seeing yet another 'using whistles is disablist' piece circulating: for the 40 millionth time, using disabled people as cover like this is disgusting and calculated to prey on people who are anxious about doing the wrong thing. Doesn't escape notice that white people are the worst offenders.

This is what we've seen too.

Within the living memory of many of these smaller communities, (a) the "warehousing boom," and then (b) the "bitcoin mining boom, tore things up, left a lot of ruin, and did not make many people better off.

So broad skepticism of (c) AI/data center boom.
4. I’ve spent some time tracking and attending local populist responses to ai data centers. Despite some critiques from left that it’s all repackaged “nimby bullshit” (as I’ve been told), I have seen organic multiracial coalitions on this issue. Esp. in places with strong environmental racism orgs

One side came over as Quakers from somewhere in England in mid-1600s, other side from a little town north of Belfast in 1830s (right before famine, probably Irish Catholic but not 💯 sure on that). Plus some from Germany, Luxembourg, Sweden and Norway.
Genuinely curious: If your family is American, what brought them here?

The Trump-era Republican Party, filled with middle-aged teenagers motivated solely by getting clicks likes and reposts. Feeding that helluva drug of dopamine. And governing around that and only that purpose.
Nancy Mace allegedly instructed a staffer to go on Reddit forums about the “hottest women in Congress” to boost her standing in the rankings and comment where needed.
