Can I have algorithms for different moods? Not feeds, because we all contain multitudes. But an algorithm for when I’m tired and I only want to see cute cats glibly talking about leftist ideology and then one for when I’m not tired and the cute cats talk about it more seriously.

So many vulnerable people were hurt, harassed and raped by these ghouls and now—I’m worried—it’s gonna become hehe haha lurid internet circus instead of a long overdue moral reckoning. I’m scared of who we all are becoming. That man has brought us ALL low.

I need you guys to take a moment to watch Zohran Mamdani's remarks today about anti-Muslim hate and the bipartisan cancer it is.

This will go down as a defining speech in modern American politics.

In our next constitution we should include consequences for when public officials don’t fulfil their duties, such as not swearing in elected officials. Or allowing appointments of judges, if I’m being historical. Surely there are many use cases I’m not thinking of.

The BBC's justification for platforming Farage beyond the actual significance of his small parliamentary party are his polls. A rather cynical explanation, for he wouldn't be where he is without the constant, uncritical appearances he's given on the BBC. It's a (literally) vicious circle.

If someone says they are serving in the military, you should not say:
"Thank you for your service!!"

You should say instead:
"Are you willing to obey a direct order to turn your guns on American citizens to squash the political opposition of a fascist?"

Pushing AI into everything right now makes sense because we’re in the thick of an anti-expertise era, and everything it “makes” relies on malicious dilettantes believing that whatever it spits out is good enough for whatever industry or consumer base to which it’s parasitically affixing itself.
